August 17 - Bocce in the Park
AVIC/VFP/BBC and bocce!!!
What better way to spend a beautiful Sunday afternoon than playing and learning to play bocce? Enthusiasm and camaraderie were contagious and refreshments were delicious...all due to the good will of VICA and newly arrived Japanese international students sponsored by Volunteers for Peace (VFP).
It was truly an intergenerational and international group of more than 30; VICA partnering with VFP, on the well-tended courts of the BBC (Burlington Bocce Club) at Oakledge Park. Thanks to Steven Baietti, Julia Ely, Deb and George Molla, Terri Burrell and Meg Brook and VFP staff members for organizing this most enjoyable event.VICA/VFP/BBC and bocce!!!
