2018 Events
In addition to special events during the year we continue to schedule an Epifania (Epiphany) dinner in January, periodic Sunday afternoon coffees at local restaurants, monthy Amici luncheons, and occasional Italian films at the Essex library. In April we celebrated our 35th anniversary with a gala dinner and presentation at the Burlington Country Club. We enjoyed a monthly bocce social from June to September where friends and family were invited to come and/or learnt to play bocce. In September members enjoyed a special Italian dinner at Agricola Farm in Panton followed by a tour of the farm.

February
Carnevale Mask Making Event
A Carnevale, ogni scherzo vale…At Carnival, anything goes!!!…
The ingredients for warming up a wintry afternoon were assembled and ready at the Shelburne Town Hall on February 10. Carnevale was just around the corner, and VICA was partnering with Katie Boz, the children’s librarian at Pierson Library for maskmaking. A steady flow of families and children poured in, and with the able assistance of Julie Ely, Josette Noll, Stephen Baietti, and Robbe Brook, pored over the sparkly and intriguing materials as they designed and created their masterpieces.
Music, refreshments, maskmaking, conviviality…what better way is there to bring the spirit of Carnevale to Vermont?
